Chicken – 2 lb( cut into small cubes)
Oil – 4 tbsp
Onion -2 medium
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp or as per taste
Red chilli powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 2tsp
Cumin powder -1 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
Black ground pepper – 1/4 th tsp
Curry leaves – 3 strands
Take a wide pan for this recipe. When it’s hot add oil and throw in onion.
Fry it until they turn soft, you need not fry onion too much.
Now throw in everything else one after the other…. turmeric, ginger garlic paste, chicken, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, salt.
Give a good mix and let these cook on a low flame.
You don’t need to add water as chicken oozes some water and that will be good enough for the chicken to cook well.
When the chicken is almost done add curry leaves, garam masala, black pepper( adding curry leaves gives very good flavor to the curry).
Keep the lid closed all the time.
Let it cook for few more mins and sprinkle lot of coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
